Company and owner history: Witmers’ Greenhouses, Incorporated since 1898, created Witmers’ Plantscaping in 1974. In 1986 Witmers’ Plantscaping became a separate business entity, it was renamed Interior Green, Inc. and purchased by its current owner and President, Julie A. Blymire. In 1978 after graduating with a degree in Horticulture from Pennsylvania State University, with the distinction of being awarded and recognized as “Outstanding Senior in Horticulture,” Julie began her career with Witmers’ Greenhouses. Julie was Witmers’ Greenhouses’ first fulltime interior plantscape designer and installation specialist. During her career Julie Blymire has served as Chairperson of the Mid-Atlantic Interior Landscaping Committee for 4 years, and also served for 5 years as their Chair of the Educational Planning Committee. This volunteer organization conducts annual industry conferences with national and international attendees, with participants from countries such as England, New Zealand and Australia. Recently Julie served on the board of directors of the PA Floral Industry Association, she has won industry awards for her designs and installations, most recently in 2005 as “Mid-Atlantic Interior Landscaping Industry Leader”. |
Our clients: We currently services over 300 accounts within a 100-mile radius of Lancaster, including the Philadelphia area. Experience: We have installed plants as small as 4 inches and as tall as 40 feet, so our experience level is extensive. Focus: Our primary focus is interior plantscaping. No “side businesses” distract us from giving you the best service possible. Our goal is to exceed your expectations. Insurance: We are fully licensed, insured and have been in business since 1974.
